4-Week Group Prop Styling Class

Intro to Prop Styling, Level 1: June 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd 2018 10am-12:30pm— 4 spots only!

Experience the prop stylist life with like-minded creatives in a special semi-private class.
Over the course of four consecutive weeks, we'll cover an introduction to everything you need to know about both the business and creative side of prop styling. We'll explore the ins and outs of mastering composition, assembling the perfect color palette, building project mood boards, sourcing props, logistics for organizing the perfect shoot, putting together the essential styling kit, and creating photo-worthy vignettes. Each week will feature different stylistic demos and group exercises and will prepare students for an optional 5th private photo shoot session (see below for more info) scheduled at the end of June, which will focus on a still life project that you will produce, style, and shoot.

In addition to the stylistic and logistical elements of prop styling, we'll have inspiring discussions about tapping into your creative self, using your unique voice to deliver work that wows clients and delivers on their wants and needs, and self-promoting your work to grow your business.

This class is best suited for aspiring stylists, chefs, makers, photographers, social media strategists, Instagrammers, and creatives of all types looking to develop an eye for styling, and makers seeking to create beautiful product imagery that sells. No professional photography experience is necessary, but please come prepared with working knowledge of your camera or just bring your iPhone.

Class is conducted in a light-filled private studio complete with tons of props, backdrops and materials of all kinds for you to use.

The Optional Private session is a 3-hour photo shoot for attendees of this class only and will be scheduled individually for the last week of June. Additional payment is required through the Eventbrite page.
